Information We Collect

We collect or receive information needed to operate the service. The information collected depends on how you use the application or website.

Account and profile information

Users may sign in with email and password, Google, or Apple. Firebase Authentication may process account identifiers, email address, provider information, verification status, and other information supplied by the selected provider. A related Afghan Mall profile may contain your full name, phone number, provider photo URL, gender, birth year, province, and account timestamps.

Shop and seller information

Shop owners may provide a shop name, description, phone or other contact information, address, province, categories, delivery availability, business location or coordinates, logo, and product information. Shop and product information intentionally published for marketplace discovery may be publicly visible. Sellers should publish only information they are comfortable making public.

Product and listing information

Listings may contain product names, descriptions, prices, currency, categories, stock or availability, unit, colors, sizes, and product images. Listings are intended to be discoverable by other users and, where enabled, by public website visitors.

Messages

Customers and shop owners may communicate through Afghan Mall. Conversations and messages may include message text, participant information, related shop or customer information, timestamps, and read or unread status. Messages are accessible to the participants permitted by the service. Afghan Mall does not claim that every message is manually reviewed. Do not send passwords, payment credentials, or other sensitive information through chat.

Favorites, likes, and activity

We may store favorite shops, liked products, product or shop interactions, activity records, and category preference information associated with an account. This supports features such as favorites, likes, discovery, and personalization.

Cart and order requests

The cart helps organize selected products in the application. When a customer submits an order request, Afghan Mall may store and share with the relevant shop the customer name, phone number, province, address, delivery notes, shop information, selected products, quantities, selected colors or sizes, prices, order status, and timestamps.

Notifications

Afghan Mall may process device notification tokens and notification records to deliver relevant notifications, including order updates, shop status updates, messages, and other account or activity notifications. Device notification settings are also controlled by your device and operating system.

Location information

The application may request temporary device location permission to help a shop owner center the shop-location selection map. The application is not intended to use this as a persistent customer-location profile based on the functionality reviewed. Shop owners may separately provide a business address and business coordinates, which may be publicly displayed as shop information.

Images and Cloudinary

Shop and product images may be uploaded to Cloudinary for image hosting and delivery. Public image URLs may be part of marketplace listings. Afghan Mall may attempt to remove associated media when accounts, shops, or products are deleted, but third-party deletion may not always be instantaneous or technically successful.

How We Use Information

Information may be used to create and manage accounts, display shops and products, connect customers and sellers, process order requests, provide messaging, maintain favorites and likes, send notifications, protect platform security, prevent misuse, improve reliability and functionality, respond to support requests, and comply with applicable law.

Payments and Delivery

Afghan Mall does not currently process online payments and does not ask customers to enter card, bank-card, or online payment credentials through the application. Customers and sellers arrange payment, delivery, or collection directly. Afghan Mall is not a bank, payment processor, or delivery company.

How Information Is Shared

Information may be shared with the relevant shop when needed to respond to a message or order request. Shop and product information intentionally published for marketplace discovery may be visible publicly, including applicable shop names, descriptions, images, contact information, addresses, business locations, product listings, prices, and availability.

We use service providers and platforms that support the service, including Firebase services, Google authentication, Apple authentication, Cloudinary image hosting, Resend for applicable backend email delivery, and map-tile services such as OpenStreetMap where applicable. These providers process information according to their own terms and policies.

Account Deletion

Where supported, users can request account deletion through the application. Afghan Mall intends to remove associated account and profile data, user preferences, activity, device tokens, notifications, owned shops and products, and associated media where applicable and technically possible. User-associated conversations and messages are intended to be removed rather than intentionally kept available after the user leaves, subject to technical and legal limitations.

Some records, including order records, may need to remain temporarily for order history, dispute handling, fraud and security investigations, legal obligations, or other legitimate operational purposes. We cannot promise instant removal from every backup, cache, or third-party system.

Data Retention

Afghan Mall keeps personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for providing the service, operating the marketplace, maintaining safety and security, handling support, resolving disputes, maintaining applicable order records, or meeting legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, it may be deleted or anonymized.

Security

Afghan Mall uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should use care when choosing what information to publish or send.

Younger Users

Afghan Mall is available to users of different ages. Younger users should use the service with appropriate awareness and permission where required by applicable law, and should avoid sharing sensitive personal information.

Website and Mobile Application

The website provides public marketplace discovery and previews. The mobile application provides authenticated features such as profiles, favorites, messaging, order requests, notifications, and seller tools. Both may rely on the same Firebase backend and related service providers, but the website does not intentionally query private user, conversation, order, favorite, or notification records.

Changes to This Policy

Afghan Mall may update this Privacy Policy as the application, website, services, or legal obligations change. The updated version will be published on this page.
